A method for configuring a product (1) from a plurality of selectable components (102-120) includes establishing for each component a list of available classes, defining specific properties for each class of each component, defining constraints among components based on said specific properties, selecting a first plurality of components for a product configuration, identifying each of said first plurality of components as selectable, eliminated, or contradicted based on said constraints, and altering said product configuration to avoid eliminated and contradicted components. The method permits computer aided design of a system which allows interactive participation of the designer in identifying required components for a redesign when an initial design is inoperable.
Cette invention concerne un procédé de configuration d'un produit (1) à partir d'une pluralité de composants sélectionnables (102-120). Ledit procédé consiste à établir pour chacun des composants une liste de classes disponibles, à définir des propriétés spécifiques pour chacune des classes associées à chaque composant, à définir des contraintes entre les composants fondées sur lesdites propriétés spécifiques, à sélectionner une première pluralité de composants en vue d'une configuration du produit, à identifier chaque composant de ladite pluralité de composants comme étant sélectionnable, éliminé ou en contradiction, en fonction desdites contraintes, et à modifier la configuration du produit de façon à écarter les composants éliminés ou en contradiction. Ledit procédé rend possible la conception assistée par ordinateur d'un système qui permet la participation interactive du concepteur en vue de l'identification des composants nécessaires à la conception d'une nouvelle configuration lorsqu'une configuration initiale s'avère incapable de fonctionner.
