An apparatus and method for manufacturing plastic containers having RFID tags embedded therein is disclosed. The bottles are manufactured using a blow-molding technique wherein an in-mold film having an RFID tag embedded therein is positioned or placed against the parison immediately prior to the blow mold being closed and the pressurized air being used to inflate the parison. The resulting container thus has an RFID tag fused thereto to allow for tracking and tracing of the container after manufacture, as well as providing a mechanism by which the authenticity of the bottle can be verified.

L'invention concerne un appareil et un procédé de fabrication de contenants en plastique sur lesquels sont intégrées des étiquettes RFID. Les bouteilles sont fabriquées à l'aide d'une technique de soufflage consistant à positionner ou placer une pellicule dans le moule, dans laquelle est enrobée une étiquette RFID, contre l'ébauche juste avant que le moule finisseur ne soit fermé et que l'air comprimé ne soit utilisé pour gonfler l'ébauche. Le contenant en résultant présente ainsi une étiquette RFID y étant soudée pour permettre le suivi et le rappel du contenant après sa fabrication ainsi que pour avoir un mécanisme permettant de vérifier l'authenticité de la bouteille.
