Method and system for building an autonomic controller system is provided. The system includes a control plane (ISAC), a host server, a management console, and a module development environment. The ISAC contains an Autonomic Controller Engine (ACE) and management module(s). The module is comprised of a set of scenarios. A Filed Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) is provided to the ISAC for ensuring survivability and sanity of an embedded hardware/software subsystem.
