A method of using a telecommunications network (3) cashless transaction service is provided, in which a user accesses the service using a network access instrument, such as a mobile phone (1) which produces a signal. The signal is forwarded to an interface device (5) of the network (3), which extracts service and user identity data therefrom, and passes the data to a processing unit (6) for the service of the network (3). The service processing unit (6) processes the data, instructs the interface device (5) to forward the access instrument signal to an input output device (7) of the network (3), and instructs the input output device (7) to request transaction details from the user. The details are sent to the input output device (7), which passes them to the service processing unit (6). This processes the details and decides whether or not the transaction can proceed, causes output of a signal conveying acceptance or rejection of the transaction to the user, and, if the transaction can proceed, arranges for the transaction to be carried out. The telecommunications network (3) may comprise a fixed network, the interface device a service switching point (5), the service processing unit a service control point (6), and the input output device a interactive/intelligent voice recognition unit (7).
L'invention concerne un procédé servant à l'utilisation d'un service de transaction électronique par un réseau de télécommunication (3), dans lequel un utilisateur accède au service par un instrument d'accès au réseau, tel qu'un téléphone mobile (1) produisant un signal. Le signal produit est transmis à une interface (5) du réseau (3) qui extrait du signal l'identité du service et de l'utilisateur et qui transmet les données à une unité de traitement (6) pour le service du réseau (3). L'unité de traitement (6) traite les données, indique à l'interface (5) de transmettre le signal d'instrument d'accès à un dispositif d'entrée-sortie (7) du réseau (3), et indique au dispositif d'entrée-sortie (7) de demander des détails de transaction à l'utilisateur. Les détails sont transmis au dispositif d'entrée-sortie (7) qui les retransmet à l'unité de traitement (6). L'unité traite les détails et décide si la transaction peut être finalisée, produit un signal de sortie indiquant à l'utilisateur que la transaction est acceptée ou refusée et, si la transaction peut continuer, permet de finaliser la transaction. Le réseau de télécommunication (3) peut être un réseau fixe, l'interface peut être un point de commutation de service (5), l'unité de traitement peut être un point de commande de services (6), et le dispositif d'entrée-sortie peut être une unité de reconnaissance vocale interactive/intelligente (7).
