ABSTRACT An apparatus for electroplating metal barn wherein said bars are mechanically and electrically connected to form an uninterrupted row, includ- ing an anode immersed in an eloctroplating bath substantially surrounding at least a portion of the row while being spaced therefrom, the anode having a longitudinal slot therein, and a stationary brush means mounted to contact the row in the anode; and a method consisting of passing the row through the anode in a straight path while rotating the row about its longitudinal axes, and concurrently slideably forcing the stationary brush means against the row, whereby the surfaces of the bars are continuously cleaned by brush- ing action during electroplating.
