A pin placement and support apparatus for a circuit board (10) having a rigid support table (16), a supply of pins (26, 28), a pin placement head (60), and an X-Y transporter (24, 25) for moving the placement head relative to the table (16) for placing the pins (20) at desired and variable locations on the table. The apparatus includes a programmed computer to display a board area ( 120) of the table and pins at user-selected locations within the board area.

Appareil de mise en place et de soutien de broches pour carte de circuits (10) muni d'une table de soutien rigide (16), d'une réserve de broches (26, 28), d'une tête de mise en place de broche (60) et d'un porte-tête à déplacement X-Y (24, 25) permettant de déplacer la tête de mise en place par rapport à la table (16) pour l'installation des broches (20) sur la table aux endroits voulus. Cet appareil comprend un ordinateur programmé grâce auquel il est possible de visualiser un secteur de carte (120) donné sur la table ainsi que des broches aux emplacements choisis par l'utilisateur et situés dans ledit secteur.
