ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE There is taught a method and apparatus for the removal of foreign material and fluid from a fabric such as a press felt in a paper making machine, wherein a jet of gaseous material is directed at a surface of the felt without penetrating the felt to create a low pressure area to remove the fluid and foreign material within the fabric.
