METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CLEANING GAS STREAM Abstract (57) A method and apparatus for cleaning a gas stream by enlarging dust particles due to condensation of a vapour of liquid on them and collecting the particles impinging on the wall of cooler due to inertia. It is an innovation that the jets of vapour used to saturate the gas stream at each stage make an angle with the axis of the gas stream, the level of supersaturation of the gas stream is increased at each stage and particles of a specific size are separated from the stream, being the largest ones at a given stage. Stagewise growth of the particles provides for selective capturing thereof.
