ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method and apparatus is disclosed of cleaning screen cloths such as those used in a vibratory multi-deck screening equipment. The cloth is tensioned in the direction of flow of material. During the operation, the tension of the cloth is relieved to allow the fluttering thereof with the result that the cloth is at least partially cleaned. Then, the cloth is tensioned again.
