A method and apparatus for sequestering CO2 using algae comprises a plurality of vertically suspended bioreactors, each bioreactor being translucent and including a flow channel formed by a plurality of baffles. A culture tank contains a suspension of water and at least one algae and includes a plurality of gas jets for introducing a CO2-containing gas into the suspension. The culture tank is in fluid communication with an inlet in each channel for flowing the suspension through the channel in the presence of light. A pump pumps the suspension into the channel inlet.
L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil pour la séquestration de CO2 utilisant des algues comprenant une pluralité de bioréacteurs suspendus verticalement, chaque bioréacteur étant translucide et comprenant un canal de circulation formé par une pluralité de chicanes. Un réservoir de culture contient une suspension d'eau et au moins une algue et comprend une pluralité de jets de gaz destinés à introduire un gaz contenant du CO2 dans la suspension. Le réservoir de culture est en communication fluide avec une arrivée dans chaque canal pour faire circuler la suspension à travers le canal en présence de lumière. Une pompe propulse la suspension dans l'arrivée de canal.
