Method and equipment for two-sided coating of a moving paper or board web (W), in which method a coating slip is applied to a first surface (SA) of the web using a gravity-based method for application of the coating slip, the web's (W) direction of travel is turned by 120 -200~, the coating slip is applied to a second surface (SB) of the web using a gravity-based method for application of the coating slip, and both sides (SA,SB) of the web are dried. The devices for applying the coating slip to the surfaces (SA) of the web include two application beams (11,16), which are located above the web and which have a supply gap or supply holes to pour out the coating slip with the aid of gravity on to the surface to be coated. At the run of the web (W) remaining in between these application beams (11,16) turning devices (22) are fitted for changing the web's direction of travel by 120-200~ after coating slip has been applied to the first surface (SA) of the web.

L'invention concerne un procédé et un équipement de couchage des deux côtés d'une feuille de papier ou d'un carton en déplacement (W). A cet effet, on applique une sauce de couchage sur une première surface (S<SB>A</SB>) de la feuille à l'aide d'un procédé s'inspirant de la gravité et consistant à appliquer la sauce de couchage, le sens de défilement de la feuille (W) est dévié de 120 à 200·, puis on applique la sauce de couchage sur une seconde surface (S<SB>B</SB>) de la feuille au moyen d'un procédé s'inspirant de la gravité consistant à appliquer la sauce de couchage, puis les deux côtés (S<SB>A</SB>, S<SB>B</SB>) de la feuille sont séchés. Les dispositifs utilisés pour l'application de la sauce de couchage sur les surfaces (S<SB>A</SB>) de la feuille comprennent deux modules d'application (11, 16) placés au-dessus de la feuille et présentant un espace de distribution ou des orifices de distribution permettant d'y verser la sauce de couchage conformément aux lois de la gravité sur la surface à coucher. Au cours du défilement de la feuille? ¿(W) restant entre les modules d'application (11, 16), des dispositifs de rotation (22) permettent de modifier le sens de défilement de la feuille de 120 à 200· après application de la sauce de couchage sur la première surface (S<SB>A</SB>) de la feuille.
