ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention provides a process for coating woven thermoplastic tubing of fibrillated tape with synthetic thermoplastic material, comprising continuously advancing and opening woven tubing; providing backing for the opened tubing from the inside; forming a superatmospheric pressure chamber surrounding the opened tubing; extruding, orienting and cooling plastics material tubing within the superatmospheric pressure chamber, the plastics material tubing, when extruded, surrounding the woven tubing and having a larger diameter than the woven tubing; forcing the extruded, oriented and cooled plastics material tubing in a soft condition against the woven tubing; and cooling the combined woven tubing and plastics material.
