Abstract of the Disclosure A metal slab conditioning system including two or more slab- supporting and turnover devices in combination with a movable slab condition- ing tool platform suspended thereabove. Each slab-supporting and turnover device includes a pair of independently rotatable leaves adapted for support- ing slabs and to cooperate in transferring a slab from one leaf to the other. The slab-supporting and turnover devices are arranged to permit convenient transfer of a slab from one such device to another.
