A B S T R A C T In an apparatus for conducting predetermined operations in the interior of a pipe by means of a tool, second drive means for displacing said tool in the radial direction of said pipe is provided with a plurality of cylinder mechanisms, and said cylinder mechanisms are interconnected so that said tool may be displaced in the radial direction of said tool by a value corresponding to a total amount of expansion and contraction of said cylinder mechanisms.
