A method and apparatus providing for minimization of the separation of a plurality of radially collapsible, generally circular, mandrels (62, 64) which are mounted for axial movement along the longitudinal axis (48) of a central shaft (50). The method and apparatus is useful for shaping of a green vehicle tire carcass employing a shaping drum which includes dual mandrels (62, 64) which are axially displaceable along the longitudinal axis (48) of the drum and adapted to engage respective ones of first and second beads of the carcass.
L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil conçus pour minimiser la séparation de plusieurs mandrins (62, 64) généralement circulaires, radialement télescopiques, qui sont montés pour un mouvement axial dans le sens de la longueur (48) d'un arbre central (50).
