A method and apparatus for providing two or more wagering events or gaming opportunities at two or more different locations to two or more different players at the same time or concurrently though multi-tasking or other shared processing arrangement of a shared control module or processor. In one embodiment a control module is configured with a processor, memory, and one or more interfaces configured to communicate with two or more game terminals. The two or more game terminals may be located remote from the control module or in close proximity. The game terminals may be configured with a display and player interfaces to receive input from a player. In one embodiment one or more video adapters are located with the control module or the game terminal. As an advantage over the prior art, controlling and enabling two or more game terminals with a shared control module or a shared processor reduces costs and the required space on a per game or per terminal basis.
La présente invention a trait à un procédé et un appareil pour fournir au moins deux événements de prise de pari ou d'opportunités de jeu de hasard en au moins deux emplacements différents à au moins deux joueurs différents au même instant ou de manière concurrente grâce à un système d'exploitation multitâches ou de autre de type de traitement distribué d'un module ou processeur de commande partagé. Dans un mode de réalisation un module de commande est équipé d'un processeur, d'une mémoire, et d'une ou de plusieurs interfaces ayant une configuration permettant la communication avec au moins deux terminaux de jeu. Lesdits au moins deux terminaux de jeux peuvent être situés à distance ou à proximité du module de commande. Les terminaux de jeu peuvent être équipés d'un écran d'affichage et d'interfaces de joueurs pour la réception d'entrée en provenance d'un joueur. Dans un mode de réalisation, un ou des adaptateurs vidéo sont disposés avec le module de commande ou le terminal de jeu. Par rapport à l'art antérieur, la présente invention offre l'avantage de fournir la possibilité de commande et d'assurer au moins deux terminaux de jeu avec un module de commande partagé ou un processeur partagé permettant la réduction de coûts et d'espace requis par jeu individuel et par terminal individuel.
