An optical network terminal is provided for use in a passive optical network (PaN) The optical network terminal includes a data port for receiving data packets from an external device and a processor for converting the data packets to data link frames In addition, the optical network terminal includes a memory configured to store a time division multiplexing scheme identifying a time slot assigned to each of a plurality of network nodes in the paN for transmission of upstream optical signals An optical transceiver is provided for converting the data link frames to upstream optical signals and transmitting the optical signals on an upstream TDMA (time division, multiple access) channel to an Optical Line Terminal (OLT) The optical transceiver includes a burst mode laser diode for generating th optical signals and a burst mode laser driver for biasing the laser diode with a bias signal and a modulation bias signal.
L'invention concerne un terminal de réseau optique destiné à être utilisé dans un réseau optique passif (PON). Le terminal de réseau optique comprend un port de données servant à recevoir des paquets de données provenant dun dispositif externe et un processeur servant à convertir les paquets de données en trames de liaison de données. De plus, le terminal de réseau optique comprend une mémoire configurée de façon à stocker un schéma de multiplexage par répartition dans le temps identifiant un créneau temporel attribué à chaque nud dune pluralité de nuds de réseau du PON en vue de la transmission de signaux optiques amont. Un émetteur-récepteur optique est prévu pour convertir les trames de liaison de données en signaux optiques amont et émettre les signaux optiques sur un canal amont en TDMA (accès multiple, répartition dans le temps) vers un terminal de ligne optique (OLT). Lémetteur-récepteur optique comprend une diode laser en mode rafale servant à générer les signaux optiques et une commande de laser en mode rafale servant à polariser la diode laser à laide dun signal de polarisation et dun signal de modulation de polarisation. La commande de laser comprend un circuit de commande à rétroaction par double boucle fermée, configuré pour mesurer et régler un niveau correspondant au zéro logique de puissance de sortie issu de la diode laser pendant un créneau temporel identifié à partir du schéma de multiplexage par répartition dans le temps stocké dans la mémoire.
