A method for drying a strip (3) or sheet metal that runs through a rolling mill is characterized in that the strip (3) or the sheet metal is cooled to a lower temperature in a cooling section by means of a coolant, in particular a cooling liquid, downstream of a hot strip mill (1) or, in case of sheet metal, after passing through at least one roll stand (2), and in that the coolant, in particular the cooling liquid, and subsequently the moisture remaining on the strip (3) or the sheet metal is removed from the strip (3) or sheet metal by means of a drying apparatus (10).
L'invention concerne un procédé pour le séchage d'un feuillard continu (3) ou de tôle dans un laminoir. Le procédé selon l'invention est caractérisé en ce qu'on refroidit le feuillard (3) en aval d'un train à feuillards à chaud (1) ou la tôle après traversée d'au moins une cage de laminoir (2) à une température inférieure dans une zone de refroidissement au moyen d'un réfrigérant, en particulier d'un liquide de refroidissement, et en ce que le réfrigérant, en particulier le liquide de refroidissement, puis l'humidité restant sur le feuillard (3) ou la tôle sont éliminés du feuillard (3) ou de la tôle au moyen d'un dispositif de séchage (10).
