The invention relates to a method and apparatus for cooling the exhaust gases of a molten stage furnace. The method re- lates to furnace structures in which the shaft (3) is vertical and the exhaust gases are passed through an outlet in the furnace roof to the cooling equipment without recovering heat from the exhaust gases through the wall portions above the furnace. The exhaust gases are cooled in two stages first indirectly by a circulating mass cooler (1) and then further in a waste heat recovery boiler. In the apparatus according to the invention, the vertical shaft section above the furnace is connected to a circulating mass cooler which is connected to a waste heat recovery boiler arranged, e.g., next to the furnace and/or the shaft.
L'invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif servant à refroidir les gaz d'échappement d'un four à étage de fusion. Le procédé concerne des structures de four dans lesquelles la cuve (3) est verticale et où les gaz d'échappement circulent à travers une sortie située dans le toit du four vers l'équipement de refroidissement, sans récupérer de chaleur provenant des gaz d'échappement à travers les parties de parois situées au-dessus du four. Les gaz d'échappement sont refroidis en deux étapes, d'abord indirectement au moyen d'un dispositif de refroidissement (1) de masse en circulation, et ensuite dans une chaudière de récupération de chaleur perdue. Dans le dispositif décrit par l'invention, la partie de cuve verticale située au-dessus du four est reliée à un dispositif de refroidissement de masse en circulation relié à une chaudière de récupération de chaleur perdue disposée, par exemple, à proximité du four et/ou de la cuve.
