Method and apparatus for a molding melt conduit (70, 70') and/or runner system (26) that preferably includes a coupling structure (80) having a coupling portion (76') that is configured to couple with a coupling portion (76) of the melt conduit (70, 70') along an interface. Cooling structure (82) is configured to provide a coolant to the coupling structure (80). Preferably, the cooling structure (82) cools the coupling structure (80) to a temperature that causes any melt leaking into the interface to at least partially solidify thereby further sealing the connection(s).

Cette invention concerne un procédé et un appareil pour conduit de matière en fusion de moulage et/ou système de canal de coulée, lequel appareil comprend une structure de couplage comportant une première surface conçue pour être couplée à un premier conduit ou tubulure de matière en fusion et une seconde surface conçue pour être couplée à un second conduit ou tubulure de matière en fusion. La structure de refroidissement est conçue pour introduire un fluide de refroidissement dans la structure de couplage. La structure de refroidissement refroidit de préférence la structure de couplage à une température qui entraîne la solidification au moins partielle de matière en fusion s'échappant de la structure de couplage, ce qui scelle le ou les raccords.
