The invention relates to an apparatus for the combined casting and rolling of metals comprising at least two casting lines 12, 13 and a rolling line 14 each casting line 12, 13 also comprising a corresponding receiving platform 15, 16 onto which the slab is cast which is comprised of at least two separate moveable sections 22 - 28 each of which are shorter than the length of the cast slab and which are independently moveable between a first position in which they are in line with the corresponding caster 12, 13 and a second position in which they are in line with the rolling line 14. The receiving platform 15, 16 also conveniently comprises a separate fixed section which remains fixed to each of the casting lines 12, 13. The receiving platform may comprise 2, 3, 4, 5 or a greater number of moveable sections.
L'invention concerne un appareil combiné de coulée et de laminage de métaux comprenant au moins deux lignes de coulée 12, 13 et une ligne de laminage 14. Chaque ligne de coulée 12, 13 comprend une plate-forme de réception correspondante 15, 16 sur laquelle la plaque est coulée et qui comprend au moins deux sections mobiles distinctes 22-28, chacune des sections étant plus courte que la longueur de la plaque coulée et pouvant se déplacer de manière indépendante entre une première position, dans laquelle elle se trouve alignée avec les lignes de coulée correspondantes 12, 13, et une deuxième position, dans laquelle elle se trouve alignée avec la ligne de laminage 14. Chaque plate-forme de réception 15, 16 comporte également une section fixe distincte qui reste assujettie à chacune des lignes de coulée 12, 13. La plate-forme de réception peut comporter 2, 3, 4, 5 sections mobiles ou plus.
