A system, method, and computer program product for generating an image for producing a design for a container. The method comprising the steps of generating a virtual sculptural relief design (400, 402); projecting the virtual sculptural relief onto a virtual container surface (404), said virtual container surface corresponding to a non-open region of said container; manipulating said relief in three-dimensional space to provide a virtual projected sculptural relief on said non-open region of said virtual container surface (406); and removing distortions in the virtual projected sculptural relief by modifying a boundary of the projected relief (410), flattening the boundary-modified relief onto a plane in 3D space, generating a new virtual sculptural relief and reprojecting the new virtual sculptural relief onto the virtual container surface to obtain the design for the container.
L'invention concerne un système, un procédé et un produit programme informatique permettant de générer une image afin de produire un dessin d'un contenant. Le procédé consiste à générer un dessin en relief sculptural virtuel (400, 402) ; à projeter le relief sculptural virtuel sur une surface de contenant virtuel (404), ladite surface de contenant virtuel correspondant à une région non ouverte dudit contenant ; à manipuler ledit relief dans l'espace tridimensionnel afin d'obtenir un relief sculptural projeté virtuel sur ladite région non ouverte de ladite surface de contenant virtuel (406) ; et à supprimer les distortions dans le relief sculptural projeté virtuel en modifiant une limite du relief projeté (420), en aplanissant le relief à limite modifiée sur un plan dans l'espace 3D, en générant un nouveau relief sculptural virtuel et en reprojetant le nouveau relief sculptural virtuel sur la surface de contenant virtuel afin d'obtenir le dessin du contenant.
