ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method and apparatus for handling electrical cable sections having substantially rigid connectors at the end of each section, wherein the entire fixed length of one or more sections of cable are positioned in and removed from a well bore by rapidly inserting and withdrawing a section of cable employing a rig floor assembly in combination with a cable supply and storage apparatus which are respectively provided with means for preventing excessive bending of the cable terminal connectors and the cable conductor at an interface between the conductor and connectors to prevent damage thereto during insertion and removal.
