The present invention provides improved methods and apparatus for skin treatment and tissue remodeling. The apparatus includes an array of needles that penetrate the skin and serve as electrodes to deliver radio frequency current or other electrical or optical energy into the tissue being treated, causing thermal damage in controlled patterns. The damaged regions promote beneficial results such as uniform skin tightening by stimulation of wound healing and collagen growth.
L'invention concerne des procédés et appareil améliorés permettant de traiter la peau et de remodeler les tissus. L'appareil comporte un réseau d'aiguilles qui pénètrent dans la peau et agissent comme des électrodes pour administrer au tissu en traitement un courant de radiofréquence ou une autre énergie électrique ou optique, des lésions thermiques étant ainsi provoquées en motifs régulés. Les zones lésées favorisent l'obtention de résultats intéressants tels que le raffermissement uniforme de la peau par stimulation de la cicatrisation des lésions et la croissance du collagène.
