ABSTRACT METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DETACHING A STRIP FROM A WOUND SHEET METAL CONSTRUCT A tool is described for detaching a sheet metal strip from a wound construct containing a plurality of coiled strips interconnected by inter- mittently spaced tabs that bridge the parting lines between adjacent strips. The tool is effective to fracture the tabs without distorting or marring the adjacent strip material.
