A multi-layer method for detecting atrial arrhythmias using ventricular cycle length information that includes performing a base layer algorithm for detecting the onset and offset of an atrial tachyarrhythmia. The multi-layer method further includes one or more higher layer algorithms executed in response to a base layer detection to confirm or reject the base layer detection. The base layer is designed to operate with high sensitivity to atrial fibrillation and/or organized atrial tachycardia and the higher layer is designed to operate with high sensitivity and high specificity to atrial fibrillation and/or organized atrial tachycardia.
La présente invention concerne un procédé multicouche pour détecter les arythmies auriculaires au moyen d'informations de longueur de cycle ventriculaire, le procédé comprenant l'exécution d'un algorithme de couche de base pour détecter l'apparition et la disparition d'une tachyarythmie auriculaire. Le procédé multicouche comprend également un ou plusieurs algorithmes de couche supérieure exécutés en réponse à une détection de couche de base, pour confirmer ou rejeter la détection de couche de base. La couche de base est conçue pour fonctionner avec une sensibilité élevée à la fibrillation auriculaire et/ou à la tachycardie auriculaire organisée, et la couche supérieure est conçue pour fonctionner avec une sensibilité élevée et spécificité élevée à la fibrillation auriculaire et/ou à la tachycardie auriculaire organisée.
