A system for investigating subterranean strata. An electromagnetic field and a seismic event are applied from the same location and the responses are detected using respective receivers both located at a second location spaced from the first. The responses are combined to identify the presence and/or nature of subterranean reservoir. The refracted wave components are used.
La présente invention concerne un système destiné à étudier les strates souterraines. En l'occurrence, on applique un champ électromagnétique s'accompagnant d'un événement sismique en provenance du même point et on en détecte les réponses par deux capteurs correspondants situés en un deuxième point, éloigné du premier. On combine ces réponses de façon à établir la présence et/ou la nature du réservoir souterrain. On utilise les composantes des ondes réfractées.
