ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An apparatus for obtaining data from which to determine the location of an aerial camera at the time of shutter opening, the apparatus comprising a GPS continuously recording data received from a GPS satellite, a photodetector for mounting inside an aerial camera for detecting the opening of the shutter of the camera; and means connecting the photodetector to receiver for carrying a time marking signal from the detector to the receiver.
