METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DISPOSING OF FLUORESCENT TUBES ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method and apparatus are disclosed for con- veniently and safely disposing of burnt out fluorescent light tubes. A disposal container is provided by a closely fitting, bendable tube which is permanently closed at one end and is provided with a removable clo- sure cap at the other end. The fluorescent light tube to be disposed of is placed within the container and while confined in the container is broken and reduced to a relatively fine rubble having a small volume. Since the disposal container completely confines the tube when it is broken, the hazard of flying glass and powdered coat- ing material is eliminated.
