There is described a method and an apparatus for use in dry forming a fabric (1) which is formed by at least two non-woven fabrics (2, 3). By the method and the apparatus the upper run (7) of the transfer wire (5) is used as forming wire, as a forming head (13) is disposed above the transfer wire. Hereby is formed an airlaid non-woven fabric on the transfer wire. This non- woven fabric (3) is carried with the transfer wire down on the top side of the first non-woven fabric (2) which is formed on a preceding forming wire (15) and which is transferred in a normal way by means of the transfer wire to a subsequent conveying wire (27). This subsequent conveying wire can also be a forming wire so that a further non-woven fabric (49) can be formed before the fabric is consolidated, e.g. by hydroentanglement or by latex bonding/fibre bonding. By the invention it is possible to achieve high production speeds and simultaneously get a simple construction that enable making products where an airlaid non-woven fabric is combined with high density with a non-woven fabric with low density.
L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil permettant de former par voie sèche un tissu (1) composé d'au moins deux voiles non-tissés (2, 3). Dans ce procédé et cet appareil, la section (7) supérieure de la toile de transfert (5) sert de toile de formage, une tête de formage (13) étant placée au-dessus de la toile de transfert. Un non-tissé air-laid est ainsi formé sur la toile de transfert. Ce non-tissé (3) est transporté par la toile de transfert jusque sur la face supérieure du premier voile non-tissé (2), lequel est formé sur une toile de formage (15) précédente, et transféré normalement au moyen de la toile de transfert jusqu'à une toile de transport (27) subséquente. Cette toile de transport subséquente peut également être une toile de formage, permettant de former un non-tissé (49) additionnel avant que le tissu ne soit assemblé, p. ex. par liage par jet d'eau, ou par liaison latex/liaison des fibres. Ce procédé et cet appareil permettent des vitesses de production élevées tout en conservant une structure simple, et permettent la fabrication de produits comprenant un non-tissé air-laid à haute densité combiné à un voile non-tissé à faible densité.
