Method of drying a medium for producing a porous matrix from a solution, a paste, an extract, a granulated material or such, where a liquid inert agent is fed into a vessel (5) at controlled pressure and amount through a valve (7), transferring the pressurized liquid inert agent to a mixing vessel (4), said mixing vessel (4) also receiving the solution, such as paste, extract or granulated material, through an inlet valve (10), adjusting the pressure and temperature inside the mixing vessel (4) to desired levels by a release valve (6), upon complete mixing of the inert agent with the solution, the mixture is expanded into a porous matrix and injected into a drying circuit through a drying chamber (3), the matrix thereby being kept suspended in the drying chamber by the flowing drying medium, supplied by the blower (2), the matrix moisture being removed from the mixture through a heat exchanger coil comprising a first heat exchanger (11) where the water vapour is condensed and removed from the circuit and finally the drying medium is adjusted to the desired inlet condition in a heat exchanger (1) before the drying medium flows through the matrix and the process is repeated.
L'invention concerne un procédé pour sécher un milieu destiné à la fabrication d'une matrice poreuse à partir d'une solution, d'une colle, d'un extrait, d'une substance granulée ou similaire. Selon ce procédé, un agent inerte liquide est alimenté dans une cuve (5) à une pression et dans des quantités contrôlées au moyen d'une vanne (7). L'agent inerte liquide sous pression est transvasé dans une cuve de mélange (4) également alimentée en une solution telle qu'une colle, un extrait ou une substance granulée à travers une vanne d'admission (10). Au moyen d'une vanne de décharge (6), on régule la pression et la température à l'intérieur de la cuve de mélange (4) pour les mettre à des niveaux désirés, et ce jusqu'à l'obtention d'un mélange complet entre l'agent inerte et la solution. Le mélange est expansé pour former une matrice poreuse puis injecté dans un circuit de séchage à travers une chambre de séchage (3). La matrice reste ainsi suspendue dans la chambre de séchage par le milieu de séchage en écoulement, qui est fourni par la soufflante (2). L'humidité de la matrice est évacuée depuis le mélange au moyen d'un serpentin d'échangeur thermique qui comprend un premier échangeur de chaleur (11) dans lequel la vapeur d'eau est condensée et évacuée du circuit. A la fin, le milieu de séchage est adapté aux caractéristiques de sortie désirées dans un échangeur de chaleur avant de s'écouler de la matrice. On répète ensuite la procédure.
