An orthopedic device for improving posture while sitting, having a foundation member (12) including a front portion (101) for upper legs and a bowl portion (20) for lower pelvic area. The bowl portion has a central portion (102, 103) and an upwardly inclined lateral portion (104, 105). The lateral portion and the front portion collectively surround the central portion. The central portion (102, 103) has regions of varying flexibility and the lateral portion (104, 105) has regions of varying flexibility. The bowl portion (20) applies an upwardly and inwardly compressive force when the lower pelvic area is disposed in the bowl portion, and rotates on a supporting surface between a first position when the lower pelvic area is not disposed in the bowl portion (20), and a second position, rotationally forward of the first position, when the lower pelvic area is disposed in the bowl portion (20), to thereby cause a forward rotational tilting of the lower pelvic area into a forward lordotic position after the lower pelvic area is placed in the bowl portion (20).
L'invention concerne un dispositif orthopédique qui permet d'améliorer la posture dans la position assise. Ledit dispositif présente un élément de base (12) qui comprend une partie avant (101) pour le haut des jambes et une partie en cuvette (20) pour la zone pelvienne inférieure. La partie en cuvette possède une partie centrale (102, 103) et une partie latérale inclinée vers le haut (104, 105). La partie latérale et la partie avant entourent ensemble la partie centrale. La partie centrale (102, 103) possède des régions de souplesse variable ainsi que la partie latérale (104, 105). La partie en cuvette (20) applique vers le haut et vers l'intérieur une force de compression lorsque la zone pelvienne inférieure est disposée dans la partie en cuvette, et tourne sur une surface de support entre une première position dans laquelle la zone pelvienne inférieure n'est pas disposée dans la partie en cuvette (20), et une seconde position, rotative vers l'avant de la première position, dans laquelle la zone pelvienne inférieure est disposée dans la partie en cuvette (20), ce qui entraîne ainsi une inclinaison en rotation vers l'avant de la zone pelvienne inférieure vers une position lordotique vers l'avant une fois que la zone pelvienne inférieure est placée dans la partie en cuvette (20).
