A method for enabling group communications includes: establishing a group identity for a communication group comprising a first set of communication devices, and storing an identity for each of the communication devices in the first set; establishing a session to associate a second set of communication devices with the group identity, wherein the communication devices in the second set are different from the communication devices in the first set, wherein the session with the second set of communication devices is set up irrespective of a call being initiated for the communication group; detecting a first event associated with the initiation of a call for the communication group; and in response to detecting the first event, using the stored identities to join at least one of the communication devices in the first set to the session.

L'invention porte sur un procédé pour permettre des communications de groupe, lequel procédé comprend les opérations consistant à : établir une identité de groupe pour un groupe de communication comprenant un premier ensemble de dispositifs de communication, et stocker une identité pour chacun des dispositifs de communication dans le premier ensemble ; établir une session pour associer un second ensemble de dispositifs de communication à l'identité de groupe, les dispositifs de communication dans le second ensemble étant différents des dispositifs de communication dans le premier ensemble, la session avec le second ensemble de dispositifs de communication étant configurée indépendamment d'un appel qui est effectué pour le groupe de communication ; détecter un premier événement associé à un appel pour le groupe de communication ; et, en réponse à la détection du premier événement, utiliser les identités stockées pour qu'au moins l'un des dispositifs de communication dans le premier ensemble rejoigne la session.
