Apparatus for extending a zero voltage switching (ZVS) range during DC/DC power conversion. The apparatus comprises a DC/DC convert-er, operated in a quasi-resonant mode, comprising (i) a transformer, (ii) a pri-mary switch, coupled to a primary wind-ing of the transformer, for controlling current flow through the primary wind-ing, and (iii) a varactor, coupled to the transformer, for accelerating a down-swing in a voltage across the primary switch.

Dispositif permettant d'élargir la plage de commutation sous tension nulle lors d'une conversion CC/CC. Le dispositif comprend un convertisseur CC/CC, fonctionnant en mode quasi résonnant, qui comprend lui-même (1) un transformateur, (11) un commutateur principal couplé à un enroulement primaire du transformateur et commandant le flux de courant traversant cet enroulement primaire, et (iii) un varactor destiné à accélérer la baisse de tension aux bornes du commutateur principal.
