Method and apparatus for facilitating release of an ophthalmic lens (108) from a mold part (102) used to fashion the lens. Subsequent to formation of the lens, the lens may be adhered to the mold part and a lens swelling substance is utilized to cause a portion of the lens to separate from the mold part and create a pathway (110) for a hydration solution to enter between the lens and the mold part and effect release of the lens.

L'invention concerne un procédé et appareil permettant de faciliter le dégagement d'une lentille ophtalmique (108) d'une partie formant moule (102) utilisée pour façonner la lentille. Après la mise en forme de la lentille, celle-ci peut adhérer à la partie formant moule. L'utilisation d'une substance gonflante permet de décoller une partie de la lentille de la partie formant moule et de ménager un passage (110) entre la lentille et ladite partie formant moule ; ce passage permet d'introduire une solution hydratante afin de dégager la lentille.
