METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR FASTENING CERAMIC MAGNETS TO A FLYWHEEL USING CENTRIFUGAL FORCE Abstract of the Disclosure A plurality of ceramic magnets are bonded on the inside of a flywheel by applying an adhesive to out- side surfaces of the magnets, locating the magnets in a rotatable fixture, placing the flywheel over the magnets with a slight radial clearance between the magnets and the flywheel and then spinning the fixture with the fly- wheel mounted thereon so that centrifugal force urges the magnets radially outwardly against the flywheel and holds the magnets in place while the adhesive sets. The fixture includes positioning pins that roughly locate the magnets when they are placed on the fixture and then accurately guide the magnets to precise locations on the flywheel as the magnets move radially outwardly due to centrifugal force.
