ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Domestic animals are fed in a group by the steps of allotting to the group the same number of feed-troughs as the number of animals in the group, distributing at each foddering equally large portions of feed to the respective troughs, and supplying the feed to the troughs in a quantity per unit of time which roughly corresponds to the eating speed of the slowest eating animal. The sides of the troughs facing the animals have a shallow shape so that each animal feeds in a position at right angles to the trough.
