A method and apparatus for filling or packing cigarette-paper tubes is disclosed wherein the apparatus comprises at least one tobacco-transfer means, in the form of a plunger or the like is mounted on a housing so as to be axially displaceable to transfer at least one tobacco strand out of a strand casing disposed within the housing into an associated cigarette-paper tube. At least one nozzle is mounted on the housing to which the open end of the cigarette-paper tube is connected in such a way that during transfer the tobacco passes through the nozzle into the associated tube. Within the housing is defined a receptacle in which at least one tobacco-filled strand casing is disposed and within which the strand casing is held and externally supported so that it cannot be displaced during transfer of the tobacco strand into the cigarette-paper tube.
Cette invention concerne une méthode et une machine à confectionner des cigarettes par bourrage de tubes de papier à cigarette, ladite machine comportant au moins un moyen de transfert du tabac sous la forme d'un piston ou d'un organe analogue monté sur un bâti de manière et mobile parallèlement à l'axe de celui-ci pour pousser au moins un boudin de tabac logé dans un tube du bâti à l'intérieur de papier à cigarette tubulaire correspondant. Le bâti précité comporte au moins une buse sur laquelle est enfilé le tube de papier à cigarette à bourrer de tabac au moyen du piston bourreur. Il comporte également un porte-tubes à boudin de tabac qui reçoit au moins un tube à boudin qui est maintenu en place par un organe extérieur pour qu'il ne puisse se déplacer au transfert du boudin de tabac dans le tube de papier à cigarette.
