ABSTRACT of the DISCLOSURE The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for flattening metal cans. The device comprises a mounting plate, an adjustable guide, a pivoting, movable arm and a platen guide shoe. The apparatus is constructed of rigid, prestressed metal stamping in such a fashion as to permit convenient domestic use for preparing metal cans for recycling equipment which can usually be found at various local depots. -1-
