The invention relates to a buoyant endless track system and, more particularly, a method and apparatus for traveling over water using a buoyant endless track system for use on a watercraft, said watercraft achieving buoyancy from said buoyant endless track system, said watercraft being propelled by means of revolving said buoyant endless track system, firstly by means of engaging to a drive system assembly, said drive system assembly comprised of a drive sprocket or plurality of drive sprockets, a plurality of rotating support and guide elements, and a tensioning wheel or plurality of tensioning wheels, this engagement thus transferring force to the buoyant endless track system, said buoyant endless track system being held in circumferential contact with said drive system assembly, and secondly by said drive system assembly being suitably connected to a power source, said buoyant endless track system being adapted to travel over said drive system assembly.
