Methods and apparatus are provided for modulating a flow of fluid in a duct using a rotating member that rotates in the duct. A sensing unit senses the rotation speed of the rotating member and generates a rotation signal as a function of the sensed rotation speed. A control unit receives the rotation signal from the sensing unit and generates a control signal to modify the rotation speed of the rotating member. The apparatus can be self-powering by generating an electric current in response to rotation of the blade.

L'invention concerne des procédés et des appareils permettant de moduler l'écoulement d'un fluide dans un conduit, au moyen d'un élément rotatif tournant dans le conduit. Une unité de détection détecte la vitesse de rotation de l'élément rotatif et produit un signal de rotation comme fonction de la vitesse de rotation détectée. Une unité de commande reçoit le signal de rotation de l'unité de détection et produit un signal de commande de manière à modifier la vitesse de rotation de l'élément rotatif. L'appareil peut être auto-alimenté grâce à la production d'un courant électrique en réponse à la rotation de la lame.
