The present invention provides a method and apparatus (10) for forming a compression dosage unit such as a tablet. The method of the present invention includes dispensing a premeasured volume of tableting feedstock (30) into a product tray (25). The feedstock is compacted into a tablet within the product tray. The product tray may be further packaged for distribution and sale. The apparatus of the present invention includes a dossiter (39) for dispensing the premeasured volume of feedstock into the product tray from a reservoir (40). A die is insertable into the product tray to form the tablet therein. The dossiter may be used to form the tablets within the product tray.

Ce procédé et cet appareil (10) permettent de former une unité galénique par compression tel qu'un comprimé. Le procédé consiste à distribuer un volume prémesuré d'une charge de fabrication de comprimés (30) dans un réceptacle de produit (25). Cette charge est compactée sous forme de comprimé dans ce réceptacle qui peut être conditionné aux fins de distribution et de vente. L'appareil décrit comprend un dispostif de dosage (39) qui distribue un volume prémesuré de la charge dans le réceptacle de produit à partir d'un réservoir (40). Une matrice peut être introduite dans ce réceptacle de produit pour y former le comprimé. Ce dispositif de dosage permet de former des comprimés dans le réceptacle de produit.
