METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR FORMING PIPE REINFORCING CAGES AND LIKE CLOSED LOOP OBJECTS Abstract of the Disclosure The invention relates to a method of forming pipe reinforcing cages, pipe or like closed loop mem- ber from a formable workpiece. The method includes the steps of gripping opposite ends of the workpiece and advancing the ends toward one another while simul- taneously rotating the ends toward one another such that the workpiece is formed to define a closed loop as the ends thereof are brought together. They also include the additional step of synchronizing the ad- vancing step with the rotating step to define a pre- determinod shaped loop as the ends are brought together. 1.
