METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR FORMING PLASTIC LINED COUPLINGS IN LINED PIPE ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Disclosed are methods and apparatus for forming a plastic lining on the open end face of a section of plastic lined pipe and joining such open ends to form a fully lined coupling. A band or collar having a tapered outer diameter and inwardly projecting means for engaging the pipe is positioned to encircle the end of the pipe. A rigid flange having a central opening with dimensions conforming to the outer dimensions of the collar mates with the collar to provide means for attaching the pipe to another conduit. A plastic end face liner comprising a cylindrical tubular body with a radially extending flange is bonded to the internal surface of the pipe liner and the flange bonded to the end face of the pipe.
