ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Method includes substantially independently selectively forming a number of different arcuately disposed regions of at least one end turn envelope. Apparatus includes spaced-apart activated end turn forming members that preselectively compress predetermined and spaced-apart regions of an end turn bundle to provide a final desired shape and configuration of the end turn bundle. Means are provided for quickly and reliably changing the extent to which predetermined portions of an end turn bundle is to be shaped and formed.
