In a method and apparatus for generating audio-visual musical accompaniment signals corresponding to a musical program, there is provided a recording medium which has an audio storage unit, a lyric storage unit and a video storage unit separate from the audio storage unit and the lyric storage unit. The audio storage unit and the lyric storage unit respectively have a plurality of audio music data and a plurality of lyric data corresponding to a plurality of the musical programs stored therein. The video storage unit has a plurality of video segments to be commonly shared by the plurality of the musical programs stored therein. In operation, the audio music data and the lyric data corresponding to a selected one of the musical programs are retrieved from the recording medium, while at least a section of the video segments are retrieved from the recording medium in an order. The audio music data retrieved from the recording medium is converted into an audio output, and the lyric data and the sections of the video segments retrieved from the recording medium are combined to obtain a video output. The audio and video outputs constitute the musical accompaniment signals corresponding to the selected one of the musical programs.
L'invention porte sur une méthode et un appareil pour produire des signaux audiovisuels d'accompagnement musical correspondant à un programme musical et comprenant un support d'enregistrement doté d'une unité de stockage de signaux audio, d'une unité de stockage de signaux paroles et d'une unité de stockage de signaux vidéo distincte des deux unités précédentes. Les unités de stockage de signaux audio et paroles comprennent respectivement une pluralité de données musicales et une pluralité de données paroles correspondant à de nombreux programmes musicaux qui y sont mis en mémoire. L'unité de stockage de signaux vidéo comprend de monbreux segments vidéo qui sont généralement partagés par les nombreux programmes musicaux qui s'y trouvent. Lorsque l'appareil fonctionne, les données musicales audio et les données paroles qui correspondent à l'un des programmes musicaux choisi sont alors extraites du support d'enregistrement tandis qu'au moins une section des segments vidéo est extraite du support d'enregistrement en suivant un ordre établi. Les données musicales audio extraites du support d'enregistrement sont converties en sortie audio et les données paroles ainsi que les sections des segments vidéo extraits du support d'enregistrement sont combinées afin d'obtenir une sortie vidéo. Les sorties audio et vidéo constituent les signaux d'accompagnement musical correspondant à l'un des programmes choisi.
