The invention relates to a method of grinding a continuously cast product (1), in particular a slab, wherein the continuously cast product is of rectangular cross section with two wide side faces (2 and 3) lying opposite one another and two narrow edge faces (4, 5) lying opposite one another, at least the wide side faces (2 and 3) being subjected to a surface treatment by at least one grinding tool (6). In order to be able to achieve a higher quality in the processing of the continuously cast product and to be able to collect the grinding chips in a simpler manner, the invention provides that during the grinding of a wide side face (2 and 3) of the continuously cast product (1), the continuously cast product (1) is positioned by a seat (7) such that a perpendicular (8) to the wide side face (2 and 3) of the continuously cast product (1) forms an acute angle (.alpha.) greater than zero degrees with the vertical (V). Furthermore, the invention relates to an apparatus for grinding a continuously cast product (1).
L'invention concerne un procédé de meulage d'un produit de coulée continue (1), en particulier d'une brame, le produit de coulée continue présentant en section transversale un contour rectangulaire avec deux côtés longs (2, 3) opposés et deux côtés courts (4, 5) opposés, au moins les côtés longs (2, 3) étant soumis à un usinage de surface au moyen d'au moins un outil de meulage (6).
