A ground clamp for holding and grounding at least one cable having an electrically-conductive shield. The ground clamp comprises a first member and a second member joined to the first member. The first member and second member have facing surfaces and the members are positioned a sufficient distance from one another such that the electrically-conductive shield of the cable is held by the facing surfaces when the shield is inserted between the facing surfaces. At least one of the surfaces further has a gripping surface wherein the gripping surface is positioned on one of the facing surfaces such that the gripping surface engages the shield when the shield is inserted between the first and second members of the ground clamp. The gripping surface to contact the shield is made of a material that conducts electricity and is also connected to a ground point through an electrically-conductive path.
