The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for identifying deformation of a moving sheet. In the invention the periodicity of original periodic or nearly periodic markings caused to the sheet is determined. Thereafter a Fourier image of periodic markings of the processed moving sheet is produced with an imaging device using a Fourier transform optical element. The appropriate peaks of the Fourier image corresponding to the markings of the sheet are located and the deformation of the sheet is calculated by comparing the measured peaks of the Fourier image to the known original markings.
La présente invention concerne un procédé et un appareil destinés à identifier une déformation de feuille en mouvement. On détermine la périodicité des marquages périodiques ou quasi périodiques originaux provoqués sur la feuille. Puis, une image de Fourier des marquages périodiques de la feuille traitée, en mouvement, est obtenue au moyen d'un dispositif d'imagerie utilisant un élément optique de transformée de Fourier. Les pics appropriés de l'image de Fourier qui correspondent aux marquages de la feuille sont repérés, et la déformation de la feuille est calculée par comparaison des pics mesurés de l'image de Fourier avec les marquages originaux connus.
