The method and apparatus for completing calls to mobile stations in a mobile radio communications includes a national home location register (HLR) (183) with a wireless enhanced services platform (WESP) with integrated voice mail/audio response capability. Calls to and from mobile subscribers are delivered to the WESP. The WESP interacts with the national HLR to provide consistent mobile services as well as enhanced services such as information collection and validation prior to call completion. When a call to a mobile station is placed, the call is directed to the WESP which transmits the identity of the mobile station to the national HLR. The national HLR looks up the mobile station and obtains the identiy of the serving mobile switching center/visitor location register (MSC/VLR) where the mobile station is already located and a list of features in effect for the mobile station. The list of features in effect is transmitted to the WESP which performs the functions necessary to implement the features.
L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil permettant l'établissement de communications avec des stations mobiles dans un réseau mobile de radiocommunications. Ledit appareil comporte un registre national de positions de rattachement (RPR) (183) doté d'une plate-forme d'amélioration des services (WESP wireless enhanced services platform) à fonction intégrée de messagerie vocale/réponse vocale. Les appels adressés aux abonnés ou en provenance des abonnés sont communiqués à la plate-forme WESP. Celle-ci dialogue avec le registre national RPR de façon à offrir des services mobiles cohérents ainsi que des services améliorés tels que la collecte et la validation d'informations avant l'établissement d'une communication. Lorsqu'un appel est fait à une station mobile, cet appel est dirigé vers la plate-forme WESP qui transmet l'identité de la station mobile au registre national RPR. Celui-ci consulte la station mobile et obtient l'identité du centre de commutation mobile serveur et/ou du registre de localisations pour visiteurs (CCM/RLV) où la station mobile se trouve déjà située ainsi qu'une liste de caractéristiques associées de fait à la station mobile. Cette liste de caractéristiques est transmise à la plate-forme WESP qui exécute les fonctions nécessaires à leur mise en oeuvre.
